Run like your gonna get beat up.

So...I need a job.

Anyone want to employ me? I've been looking/applying/sending in resumes for like a good couple weeks now, and NO phone calls back. Sucks. Not even a chance to go in and mess up in an interview. Give me a chance!! Boo :(

So, the running has been going good. I've made it three laps, then taken one walking, then run one more. So I feel pretty accomplished. I'm nowhere near done, but this is a good start, and it gives me something to be proud of myself for (you know, since I'm not contributing to our very fastly diminishing household income). I think instead of trying to do my program of walking and running, I'm going to run but increase the distance. For example, all last week starting with meanie Mary Anne's run, I have been running three laps each time. So I'm thinking if I can just increase the amount of laps every week, then I'll be good. It'll take just about as long as with the program I was going to do, but I might have to repeat some weeks. I'm excited to do it this way because I will have something to try to accomplish each week. I'm nervous though, because I have never even ran this far in my life, soooo it's gonna be hard. So this week, I will try to run 4 laps without stopping. And I'm planning on doing that 4 times a week. The other days can be whatever days or maybe run less days...not sure yet. So, starting today, only 30 more laps to add! Woo HOO! just kidding, wow that's a lot.

So, this weekend, TJ and I went over to our friends house, the Woods'. We had fun, played games and tried to see how long we could each balance on the balance ball with no hands or feet touching the floor. It was very hard. TJ held the world record until Justin broke out a 5 minute record!

The first picture is of TJ balancing, yes with beer in tow. It is always important to keep from spilling your beer and to include it in every activity you are doing. The second picture is of Justin attaining his world record of 5 minutes and TJ saying "In the face, IN THE FACE!" (The Hangover) So yeah, we had fun doing that.

So, back to complaining, if anyone has any ideas what a recent college graduate in mathematics can do with her life, please leave a comment. I need help thinking and deciding what I might do for the rest of my life, or at least what to look for on careerlink and monster. Teacher doesn't count.

  1. Wish I had some advice to help you find a job, Whitney. I'll just pray for you (that's probably the best I can do).

Second, I like the idea of adding a lap each week, that's a great way to help you feel as though you've accomplished something as the weeks pass.

Third, that ball balancing looks like fun. Mayhaps I'll have Curtis blow ours up so I can give it a whirl. haha.

  2. So THOSE are the loser friends you chose to hang out with instead of us! Well, WE watched a totally awesome cable TV movie and ate leftovers, so, In YOUR FACE! :) LOL! We need to do something this weekend though, for real. Lets have a big hoop-lah with bunches of people :)

  3. Fo sho, fo sho. Courtney, thanks for the prayers, hopefully that will work best!

Mary Anne, those actually are the people we hung out with the night before so there! OH! and sounds like fun...not! I got your call, but as facebook says, my phone isn't working...oh wait, you're not cool enough for facebook :) But yeah, if you look back at this, my phone is no longer working because of the touch screen, which is how you do everything. boo. But if you were calling about a Tuesday run...I would love to, but I already told one of those weirdo friends that I wanted to try her Wii active, and that's the day we planned...but pt times...I will be at the gym so if your lovely face shows up, I'll see you there :)

  4. Tuesday is the only day I can go to the gym, b/c it's the only day my dad can watch Cayleigh. Another time I guess.
