Boring

Not much going on right now.

Running is still going okay, although my legs are really hurting. I thought the amount of running I was doing was allowing my body to rest but apparently not. I think I might take a couple weeks off of this 5k or half marathon running plan and build up my leg muscles. Not sure. This past week sucked for running. I ran 3 laps once then the other times I went, my legs hurt so bad I could only do one lap then other stuff. It's really depressing. I started off so good. But, I will keep this going no matter what, even if I'm take a couple weeks to gain muscles. I especially want to do this when TJ deploys, and that is actually why I started. So we'll see.

One of the places I applied for a job called me Wednesday, my birthday!! and asked me if I could come in to "talk about the job," which urks me because why can't you just say "come in for an interview." But anyway, it went good until he asked me specific questions about the job. I didn't really know the answers so I kinda BS-ed some of them. The job seems interesting enough and would look good on my resume, but as far as pay and coolness goes, this job is at the bottom of the scale. Boo. But if he offers the job to me, I'll probably take it just because we need the money. Since then, I started applying for teller positions. I have been a teller before, so that's not the big deal. The big deal is that I feel as though I'm letting myself down because I got this big bad degree and I can't even get or find a job that will pay me real money or be considered in my eyes a  "big girl job." I feel like I'm selling myself short, but as everyone, including my bubby says, "your first job out of college doesn't have to be a permanent job, just get your foot in the door somewhere and keep looking for 'real jobs.'" So I took their advice and applied for teller positions.

Last night, TJ and I went to cinedine again and saw Sherlock Holmes. I love that whole experience. This time we went to the lounge slash bar area first and had a cocktail, then went into the theatre and ordered our food and watched the movie. For anyone looking for a great date idea around here, this is awesome! The waiters come to you, during the movie, whenever they see that you turned your little light on. It's so cool! We had fun and it's about the same price as going out to dinner and seeing a regular movie.

Tonight, we are going over to Mary Anne's house (yes, the meanie) and having a game night slash ice cream night! I'm so excited, I haven't had ice cream in forever :) TJ and I may bring a couple games and TJ is bringing some caramel weirdo ice cream, so I'll probably be the one eating the normal vanilla ice cream, so boring!

Don't get down about the job experience. It will be nice just to have a job and it is a step in the door of the corporate side of banking. First jobs out of college are usually not what college 'promised' your life to be. College grads are always led to believe that the minute they graduate there will be a line waiting to hire you for some super professional job that you've always dreamed of...doesn't work that way. You will move up quickly wherever you end up partially because of your degree and mostly because of your great personality! Hang in there.

Oh yeah - keep moving whether it be walking or running.
